In the historic city of Shkodër, Margherita Wine emerges as a poetic dialogue between architecture, light, and the ritual of wine. Conceived as a fusion of Albanian tradition and contemporary minimalism, the project transforms the essence of a wine bar into an immersive spatial experience.
Natural stone and warm oak hues recall the textures of northern Albania’s vernacular architecture — honest, tactile, and grounded. Light moves softly across the interior, revealing layers of shadow and reflection, much like the notes within a fine wine.
Every detail, from the handcrafted finishes to the custom furniture, is designed to evoke authenticity and calm. Nestled in the vibrant urban fabric of Tirana, Wine Plus is a thoughtfully designed wine shop and bar that merges contemporary elegance with the warmth of Albanian hospitality. This interior architecture project, led by architects Rudina Papavasili reflects a refined spatial narrative where tradition meets innovation.
The design draws inspiration from Albania’s rich architectural heritage—where stone textures, rhythmic proportions, and handcrafted details echo the country’s cultural depth. Carefully selected materials and finishes create a harmonious ambiance that invites guests to linger, taste, and connect. From the layout to the lighting, every element is curated to enhance the sensory experience of wine appreciation.
Wine Plus is more than a retail space — it’s a cultural microcosm that celebrates the art of living, rooted in local identity and elevated by modern design.
