WOODEN COTTAGE COMPLEX, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRITOURISM
Location: Baldushk

This wooden cabin complex in Baldushk, just 14 km south of Tirana, is designed to support agrotourism while reflecting the essence of Albanian vernacular architecture. Spread across a 1500 m² plot, the project includes seven single-story cabins with pitched roofs and timber facades, inspired by traditional rural homes. Each cabin offers a compact yet comfortable layout of 25 m², featuring living, sleeping, cooking, and sanitary spaces. One cabin is dedicated to showcasing local cuisine, with areas for dining and food preparation using regional ingredients. The materials and techniques used — wooden partitions, clay-tiled roofs (furde), and glass elements—create a warm, breathable, and energy-efficient environment. The cabins are arranged along the perimeter to preserve open space for relaxation, fruit trees, and native vegetation. The design blends simplicity with elegance, ensuring the buildings harmonize with the natural landscape while meeting modern standards for insulation and sustainability.

“Korabi” Hotel - A Contemporary Revival of Albanian Coastal Architecture
Location: Golem, Durrës

Located in the vibrant seaside of Golem, Korabi Hotel is a refined renovation project that reinterprets the essence of Albanian modernism with a contemporary sensibility. The intervention preserves the original building’s structural rhythm while introducing new elements that elevate both its functionality and aesthetic identity. The clean, ivory-white façade reflects the purity and brightness of Mediterranean architecture, contrasted by soft beige tones that evoke the warmth of Albanian coastal stone. Large balconies and simple horizontal lines create a sense of order and calm, allowing natural light to define the building’s geometry. The project includes the addition of a new swimming pool area — designed as a serene extension of the hotel’s atmosphere — and a light, transparent bar pavilion characterized by glass façades and wooden accents. These additions strengthen the dialogue between architecture and landscape, opening the hotel toward the sea and the sky. Echoing the honesty of Albanian architectural form, the design focuses on proportion, texture, and atmosphere. It conveys a quiet elegance — a space that feels both rooted and refined, where tradition evolves into a modern expression of coastal hospitality.
